Residents and family members are consulted at every step, we make sure they are included in planning for their care, activities, and surroundings.
Haven Bay Care Centre
Maryborough Nursing Home is a purpose built, single story facility near Douglas, County Cork. Established in 1989, we continue to provide the highest standard of care to our residents. At all times care is delivered in a respectful, compassionate and dignified manner.
The meeting is facilitated by the Elderwell Team and the minutes are forwarded to the Director of Nursing to be discussed and recommendations implemented. An extensive activities schedule is available, using local community involvement incorporating interests from all residents. There are outdoor areas ideal for anyone wishing to spend time in nature, suitable for outdoor pursuits and recreational activities.

Vipin joined Maryborough Nursing Home in September 2020 as Director of Nursing. He has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing which he completed in India in 2009. He continued his education in Ireland where he obtained a Masters in Nursing from University College Cork in 2014.
Vipin has also completed a Diploma in Health Services Management for Nurses in 2016, Certificate in Health Care Regulation in 2017 and is currently completing a Doctorate in Nursing in University College Cork. He has a passion for elderly care and special interest in residents’ safety. He is a Registered General Nurse in Ireland, India, New Zealand and Australia. He is a member of Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation and SIA Honor Society of Nursing and Midwifery Ireland. Our mission is to foster an environment of warmth, compassion and belonging. Understanding that leaving home is never easy, we strive to make the transition as supportive as possible.
RESIDENTS COMMITTEE
They have 21 single rooms, eight twin rooms and one triple room, most of which are en-suite. They have a kitchen and dining area, three day rooms, an outside patio area with seating and a garden to enjoy in fine weather. All laundry being done in the home must be labelled with the resident’s name.
They introduce new menus of traditional and worldwide cuisine that enhances the palate of the older adult. They deliver through their catering skills not only a nutritional element but an understanding of the key principles of food delivery in a therapeutic enjoyable and colourful fashion. Mary is the daughter of the late Mary Lucey, the founder of Darraglynn Nursing Home. Mary has over 35 years in General Nursing, A/E nursing, Gynaecology, Surgery, and 15 years as a clinical Nurse Specialist in Tissue Viability.

Coral Haven Nursing Home is a purpose-built nursing home situated in the quiet countryside… yet only 5 minutes drive from the charming, Medieval City of Galway. We have a physiotherapist who your GP can refer you to if required. Payment is made directly to the physiotherapist and can be claimed from your private health insurer if applicable. We want all residents to feel at home here whether they are here for a long or short stay and to be able to choose and direct their own care.
