Jenish is one of the longest serving members of the team in Maryborough Nursing Home, having joined the team in 2010. He completed a Post Certificate B.Sc. Nursing (PC B.Sc.) in India prior to his arrival in Ireland and has over 12 years experience in Healthcare. He completed a Nursing Diploma in Health Service Management in 2020 and was promoted to his current role as Clinical Nurse Manager in June 2020.
We specialise in several different models of care, the type of care that will suit your loved one depends on their individual needs and preferences. CareChoice Montenotte is situated in picturesque area of Montenotte in Co Cork. We can enjoy stunning panoramic views over Cork City from our Home and have a bird’s eye view of the River Lee and Páirc Ui Chaoimh. Our Home is beautifully refurbished and full of character sitting on 1.5 acres.

Our convalescence care can assist with recuperation and recovery after surgery, or serious illness. On average people convalesce with us from two to six weeks, but people can be discharged from care sooner depending on their health status and recovery. We pride ourselves on our Activities Programme, which co-ordinate outing and activities for our residents. We have enjoyed Arts & Crafts, visits to the Beach, Card Games and Bingo and are looking forward to many more.

These areas are specially designed with the needs of a person living with dementia at their core. These include design aspects including brightly coloured murals on walls, bright and colourful signage for amenities and additional safety features. These areas are created to enhance the everyday life of a resident living with dementia, by having their environment compliment their reality. There are at least 2 nurses on at all times and a team of care assistants, catering staff and household staff to care for the residents every need. Established in the late 1980s our purpose built private nursing home is set in two acres of mature gardens in Beaumont, Cork, and is easily accessed from the South Link Road, South Ring Road, Douglas and Blackrock.

Should you wish to bring some personal effects e.g. photos, paintings, your favorite chair, this is encouraged within reason. Douglas Nursing Home is a purpose built ground floor facility with single rooms, single en suite rooms. All rooms have hot and cold water, television point, telephone point and call bell. The rooms are decorated in a homely way and residents are free to bring in their own effects and small furniture to make it their own. The team at Maryborough Nursing Home strives to provide a high-quality service to all residents. This involves being open for discussion with all residents and their families.
Also no person under the age of 18 years of age is accommodated at the home at any time.
There are telephone points in all rooms and private telephones can be installed, please ask management if you would like to arrange this. There is a portable phone at reception in the entrance hall available for all residents and visitors. The particular supports provided to each person will depend on the needs that are identified during the assessment which is undertaken by a HSE health professional generally a public health nurse.

We have a physiotherapist who your GP can refer you to if required. Payment is made directly to the physiotherapist and can be claimed from your private health insurer if applicable.
